The participation of Youssef Sader Association for Legal Culture in the International Conference for the Recovery of Stolen Funds

Youssef Sader Foundation for Legal Culture, represented by its President, Mr. Rany Sader, participated in the International Conference for the Recovery of Stolen Funds, which was held in Baghdad on 15 and 16 September 2021, at the generous invitation of the Arab Center for Legal and Judicial Research – The Council of Arab Ministers of Justice, under the patronage and presence of Prime Minister Mustafa Al-Kazemi and His Excellency Al-Amin, Secretary-General of the League of Arab States, Mr. Ahmed Aboul Gheit.

Discussions at the Conference centered upon the main obstacles which the regulatory authorities face in the recovery of assets and smuggled funds outside the national borders. Participants included ministers of justice, heads of judicial councils and regulatory bodies, and representatives of associations as well as legal figures along with the Arab League, focusing on the procedures required to recover those funds and overcome the difficulties faced.

Youssef Sader Foundation for Legal Culture participation at this conference falls within the framework of the memorandum of understanding signed in 2020 between it and the Arab Center for Legal Research at the League of Arab States, which includes cooperation in the fields of research and studies, in addition to holding scientific workshops and conferences, as well as exchanging scientific publications between the two parties.
