Signing of a memorandum of understanding between the Arab Center for Legal and Judicial Research in the Arab League And Youssef Sader Foundation for Legal Culture
Based on the directives of the Council of Arab Ministers of Justice regarding the establishment of partnership with Arab institutions to activate cooperation in the field of legal work of the Center; and
Under the direct guidance of H.E. Secretary-General of the Arab League Mr. Ahmed Aboul Gheit, concerning the signing of a Memorandum of Understanding between the Arab Center for Legal and Judicial Research and Youssef Sader Foundation for Legal Culture,
A Memorandum of Understanding was signed today, Monday – October 12, 2020, between the parties. Assistant Secretary-General Ambassador Abdul Rahman Al-Solh, representing the Center, and Attorney Rany Sader Chairman of the Foundation were present,
The present Memorandum of Understanding is the third to be signed by the Center at the level of Arab cooperation, as it was preceded by a Memorandum of Understanding signed with the Union of Arab Banks and Naif Arab University.
Such Memoranda of Understanding cover cooperation in the fields of research and studies in addition to holding scientific workshops and conferences and exchanging scientific publications,
The Memorandum of Understanding signed with the Youssef Sader Foundation is distinguished by the fact that it will involve joint work in the field of scientific cooperation and drawing on the expertise of Sader in using technology and scientific knowledge in the field of legal publication,
In conclusion, a gift consisting of a collection of 320 legal publications of “Sader Publishers 1863” was presented by Sader to the Center's library in Beirut.
The signing of the Memorandum of Understanding between the two parties will be presented at the opening meeting of the Council of Arab Ministers of Justice for the 36th Session,
H.E. Ambassador Al-Solh, on behalf of the Secretary-General of the Arab League and the Council of Arab Ministers of Justice, expressed his thanks and appreciation to Youssef Sader Foundation for the efforts and good faith they have exerted in the joint work before signing the Memorandum of Understanding, which were manifested, among other things, in Sader’s legal publications that were presented as a gift to the Center.
Attorney Rany Sader extended his gratitude and appreciation to Ambassador Al-Solh, the Council of Arab Ministers of Justice, the Arab League, and all the staff of the Arab Center for Legal and Judicial Research, stressing that the Memorandum of Understanding is at the core of the Foundation’s mission, which is to spread legal culture and develop legal informatics across the Arab world.
