We are glad to announce that SADER1863 Chief legal innovation officer Attorney Rany Sader attended UNODC Workshop on Intellectual Property Rights as a guest speaker, representing Brand Protection Group – Lebanon (BPG- Lebanon).
The workshop was held on two consecutive days at Mövenpick Hotel Beirut in the presence of Mr. Samer Al Tarawneh (WIPO – Legal Counsellor / Building respect for IP Division), Dr. Wissam El Amil (Ministry of Economy and Trade – Head of IP Office) and other representatives from WIPO and the Ministry of Economy in Lebanon.
It enclosed on the first day welcoming remarks by UNODC – CCP, Ministry of Economy and Trade and World Intellectual Property Organization, the Importance of IP Enforcement (WIPO) and the Risk Indicators Related to IP (UNODC – CCP), The International Legal Framework of IP Enforcement – Part III of the Agreement on Trade[1]Related Aspects of Intellectual Property (TRIPS) and IP Legal framework in Lebanon.
The second day covered the following topics; Trademark Counterfeiting and Copyright Piracy Disposal of the IP Infringing Goods, Enforcement procedures in Lebanon (Ministry of Economy and Trade), Public-Private Cooperation, and the Role of right-holders by Attorney Rany Sader, president of BPG- Lebanon.
