وقّع المحامي د. بول مرقص كتابه "السرية المصرفية في مواجهة تحدياتها Le Secret Bancaire Face à Ses Défis في قاعة المحاضرات- بيت المحامي. سبق التوقيع ندوة حوارية حضرها العديد من المهتمين والأصدقاء كما النواب، ميشال موسى، روبير غانم، غسان مخيبر وبيار دكاش، حشد من القضاة والمحامين ونقيب المحررين ملحم كرم بالإضافة الى المطرانين شكرالله حرب وشكرالله نبيل الحاج.
تحدث خلال الندوة نقيب المحامين في بيروت رمزي جريج الذي اعتبر ان الكاتب عالج نواحي السرية المصرفية بشكل موثق، فقال "اللافت أن الكاتب تجاوز البحث القانوني ليبيّن من مدى تأثير السرية المصرفية على جلب الرساميل ودورها في صون الحياة الخاصة وحماية حقوق الانسان والمحافظة على مقومات الاستقلال والسيادة الوطنية".
ونوه رئيس الغرفة الثالثة لمحكمة استئناف بيروت القاضي مروان كركبي بالعمل الذي خلص من خلاله مرقص إلى اقتراحات أغنت الكتاب و"ستفتح المجال لنقاشات مستفيضة بين مؤيد ومتحفظ، وهذا من أبرز إيجابيات تلك المقترحات، وكل ذلك سيصبّ حتماً في مصلحة نظام السرية المصرفية لتبقى دعامة قويّة للقطاع المصرفي اللبناني"، حسب ما أعلن كركبي.
من جهته اعتبر أمين سر هيئة التحقيق الخاصة في مصرف لبنان الدكتور محمد بعاصيري أن المرجع الجديد فريد "لأنه كتاب مرجعي يطرح للمرة الاولى مسألة السرية المصرفية باللغة الفرنسية وعلى مستوى القانون المقارن معا، انطلاقا من القانون اللبناني".
وفي كلمته رأى نائب رئيس مجلس ادارة بنك بيروت والبلاد العربية القاضي عباس الحلبي، أن الباحث جريء في تناوله لموضوع هز القطاع المصرفي والاقتصادي اللبناني ولم تجر له مراجعة من قبل، وهو فضيحة بنك المدينة. وصرح الحلبي و"موضوع ربط اثار هذه الفضيحة بموضوع آخر، وضع الدولة اللبنانية في دائرة الإستهداف والخطر والغى املا لبنانيا مضيئا عنيت به اغتيال الرئيس رفيق الحريري وموضوع تمويل الإرهاب"
