{"id":11426,"date":"2022-06-22T00:00:00","date_gmt":"2022-06-22T00:00:00","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/newsader.tedmob.com\/publications\/penal-law-2\/"},"modified":"2022-06-22T00:00:00","modified_gmt":"2022-06-22T00:00:00","slug":"penal-law-2","status":"publish","type":"product","link":"https:\/\/newsader.tedmob.com\/en\/publications\/penal-law-2\/","title":{"rendered":"Penal Law"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>Legislative decree No.340 is the official criminal code of Lebanon that came into force on 01\/03\/1943 repealing the ottoman penal code.<\/p>\n<p>Upon the proposal of the minister of justice and based on the decision of the council of ministers dated 27\/02\/1943, the draft of the law was prepared by a commission chareid by Fouad Ammoun, and composed by judge Wafic Al-Kassar and judge Philippe Boulos in 1943.<\/p>\n<p>It was inspired by the swiss penal code, italian penal code, and the french legislation.<\/p>\n<p>It is a comprehensive pillar that intends to cover all substantive aspects of criminal law and is divided into a general and a special part.<\/p>\n<p>The general part includes common rules for all types of crimes and the special part determines the provisions of each crime seperately.<\/p>\n<p>The objective of this law is to maintain law and order in society by preventing the occurrence of crimes, punish and rehabilitate the criminals and compensate the victims.<\/p>\n<p>Up to date and modernized, the lebanese criminal code remains the body of law after almost a century.<\/p>\n<p>The most recent amendments were made by&nbsp;:<\/p>\n<p>-law No.256 of january 5, 2022, amending article 604 of the penal code on the spread of epidemics.<\/p>\n<p>-law No.267 of january 5, 2022, amending articles 554,555,556,557 and 559 of the penal code in terms of strengthening legal protection for doctors and their assistants and hospital workers.<\/p>\n<p>-law No.268 of january 5, 2022 amending article 567 of the penal code on helping a person in danger.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Lebanon \u2013 Legislation \u2013 Laws &#8211; Penal<\/p>\n","protected":false},"featured_media":10441,"comment_status":"closed","ping_status":"closed","template":"","meta":{"_acf_changed":false},"product_brand":[],"product_cat":[219],"product_tag":[],"class_list":{"0":"post-11426","1":"product","2":"type-product","3":"status-publish","4":"has-post-thumbnail","6":"product_cat-219","8":"first","9":"instock","10":"shipping-taxable","11":"purchasable","12":"product-type-simple"},"acf":[],"_links":{"self":[{"href":"https:\/\/newsader.tedmob.com\/en\/wp-json\/wp\/v2\/product\/11426","targetHints":{"allow":["GET"]}}],"collection":[{"href":"https:\/\/newsader.tedmob.com\/en\/wp-json\/wp\/v2\/product"}],"about":[{"href":"https:\/\/newsader.tedmob.com\/en\/wp-json\/wp\/v2\/types\/product"}],"replies":[{"embeddable":true,"href":"https:\/\/newsader.tedmob.com\/en\/wp-json\/wp\/v2\/comments?post=11426"}],"wp:featuredmedia":[{"embeddable":true,"href":"https:\/\/newsader.tedmob.com\/en\/wp-json\/wp\/v2\/media\/10441"}],"wp:attachment":[{"href":"https:\/\/newsader.tedmob.com\/en\/wp-json\/wp\/v2\/media?parent=11426"}],"wp:term":[{"taxonomy":"product_brand","embeddable":true,"href":"https:\/\/newsader.tedmob.com\/en\/wp-json\/wp\/v2\/product_brand?post=11426"},{"taxonomy":"product_cat","embeddable":true,"href":"https:\/\/newsader.tedmob.com\/en\/wp-json\/wp\/v2\/product_cat?post=11426"},{"taxonomy":"product_tag","embeddable":true,"href":"https:\/\/newsader.tedmob.com\/en\/wp-json\/wp\/v2\/product_tag?post=11426"}],"curies":[{"name":"wp","href":"https:\/\/api.w.org\/{rel}","templated":true}]}}
