The database, published on the website of the authority, www.nclw.org.lb, the legal base, aims to spread legal knowledge in issues pertaining to women, and to put legislation, studies and reports related to women within the reach of all, to form the first legal reference regarding women's rights in Lebanon. The meeting was opened with the speech of the head of the Bar Association, Professor Andre Chidiac, in which he said: “The house of the lawyer is the House of Freedom, the House of Equality and the House of Law, and its doors are open to anyone who wants to use it or intends to speak about the simplest rule of truth, which is the issue of equality between men and women.” He welcomed the role of Mrs. Aoun Roukoz, the dignified daughter of Karim, who represents the President’s hand, and who plays a leading role in asserting the principle of equality between men and women. He concluded: “I commend the role of human rights publications issued in disseminating the legal culture, which, with the assistance of the National Authority for Women’s Affairs, accomplished the basic legal basis for women's rights.” Then Aoun Roukz made a speech in which she said: “I am pleased to meet today in this ancient edifice to launch the electronic information base. For women's rights, which were developed by the "Sader Group", and which will be available to all through the website of the Lebanese National Authority for Women. Knowledge of the law and its interpretations are one of the foundations of a democratic life, and informing the citizen of his rights is a necessity without which healthy social relations do not exist. The Lebanese National Authority for Lebanese Women has always been aware of the importance of informing women in our country of their legal rights. ” She continued: “It is worth noting that the project“ Educating Women in Law, which aimed to spread knowledge of the provisions of the Labor Law and the Social Security Law among women working in all Lebanese regions, was in the year 2000 of the first projects launched by the National Commission for Lebanese Women’s Affairs. It is clear that the concept of empowerment in any field was primarily related to knowledge, and that empowering women to choose the paths of their lives requires first knowing them about the legal rules organizing social, political and economic dealings, as well as requiring their protection from any violence that might be experienced by any party and their knowledge of the rules for activating and applying these Protection. Hence, the National Commission for Lebanese Women Affairs considers that informing women of their legal rights makes them more able to play the multiple roles that they have to perform in society on a personal level as well as on the family, economic, cultural and political levels. To succeed, for a woman to be, like a man, familiar with the laws that regulate her life in matters of personal status, rules of marriage, divorce, and inheritance, and for her to be aware of the laws in force in the public office, in business administration, and in the areas of work and security, as needed. We often see that women are reluctant to run for leadership positions in the public domain, in the prosecution or municipal membership and even in membership of trade union councils because of the lack of daring to fight battles that have long been the preserve of men and because they do not have the knowledge of the laws in force in these areas. Let's say, because they don't know, the rules of the game. Therefore, the Commission plans, in preparation for the upcoming municipal and parliamentary elections, to organize courses to deepen the knowledge of women who wish to run, in all matters related to municipal or parliamentary work. The authority also cooperates with civil society organizations and specialized institutes to encourage women to develop their gains in business boards in order to increase opportunities for their promotion to high positions in the management of economic institutions. In all these areas, women should be aware of their legal rights. ” She added: “The commission considers that gathering legal references for women's rights in one base would facilitate the work of men and women in the judiciary and the legal profession in dealing with issues related to various aspects of life and related to separate provisions of laws, judicial jurisprudence and binding international agreements. It should be noted that in addition to the legal texts, the information base includes the publication of judicial rulings on the rights of women in Lebanon, as well as studies issued on this subject, which will facilitate the work of lawyers and judges in this field. ” She concluded: “This information base would not have been available to us and the National Authority would not have achieved this project had it not been for the“ Sader Group ”to initiate and consider it among its social contributions, and this is indeed a contribution that serves the cause of women and thus contributes to the development of our society and indicates awareness It is necessary for the group and those responsible for it to work in a manner known as social responsibility. This is just another name that expresses the need for solidarity between members of society and the need to adhere to social issues. Thank you, Sader Group. The National Authority for Lebanese Women Affairs appreciates your contribution in spreading knowledge about women's rights. Thank you Bar Association for hosting this event and thank you ladies and gentlemen for your presence. ” After that, Lawyer Rani Sader made a detailed presentation on the electronic legal information base of the National Authority for Women Affairs, which was carried out by "Human Rights Publications", and said: “This project comes out of Imann<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
The National Commission for Lebanese Women Affairs, at the invitation of its chair, Mrs. Claudine Aoun Roukoz, launched the electronic<\/p>\n","protected":false},"author":0,"featured_media":23,"comment_status":"","ping_status":"","sticky":false,"template":"","format":"standard","meta":{"_acf_changed":false,"footnotes":""},"categories":[1],"tags":[],"class_list":["post-10264","post","type-post","status-publish","format-standard","has-post-thumbnail","hentry","category-sader-news"],"acf":[],"_links":{"self":[{"href":"https:\/\/newsader.tedmob.com\/en\/wp-json\/wp\/v2\/posts\/10264","targetHints":{"allow":["GET"]}}],"collection":[{"href":"https:\/\/newsader.tedmob.com\/en\/wp-json\/wp\/v2\/posts"}],"about":[{"href":"https:\/\/newsader.tedmob.com\/en\/wp-json\/wp\/v2\/types\/post"}],"replies":[{"embeddable":true,"href":"https:\/\/newsader.tedmob.com\/en\/wp-json\/wp\/v2\/comments?post=10264"}],"version-history":[{"count":0,"href":"https:\/\/newsader.tedmob.com\/en\/wp-json\/wp\/v2\/posts\/10264\/revisions"}],"wp:featuredmedia":[{"embeddable":true,"href":"https:\/\/newsader.tedmob.com\/en\/wp-json\/wp\/v2\/media\/23"}],"wp:attachment":[{"href":"https:\/\/newsader.tedmob.com\/en\/wp-json\/wp\/v2\/media?parent=10264"}],"wp:term":[{"taxonomy":"category","embeddable":true,"href":"https:\/\/newsader.tedmob.com\/en\/wp-json\/wp\/v2\/categories?post=10264"},{"taxonomy":"post_tag","embeddable":true,"href":"https:\/\/newsader.tedmob.com\/en\/wp-json\/wp\/v2\/tags?post=10264"}],"curies":[{"name":"wp","href":"https:\/\/api.w.org\/{rel}","templated":true}]}}
